JBRF: Juvenile Bipolar Research Foundation (US):

http://www.jbrf.org/JBRF is a 501(c)(3) organization that actively promotes and supports scientific research focused on the cause of and treatments for bipolar disorder in children.  We are the first and only non-profit foundation dedicated solely to promoting research to identify the source of early-onset bipolar disorder.

NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Health (US):

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raising awareness and building a community of hope for all of those in need.


National Institute of Mental Health (US):

The mission of NIMH is to transform the understanding and treatment of mental illnesses through basic and clinical research, paving the way for prevention, recovery, and cure.
For the Institute to continue fulfilling this vital public health mission, it must foster innovative thinking and ensure that a full array of novel scientific perspectives are used to further discovery in the evolving science of brain, behavior, and experience. Bipolar Disorder, formerly known as Manic Depression, is a highly disruptive brain disorder. Since 1994 Pendulum.org has been the web's premier resource for bipolar information.


SANE Australia:

SANE Australia is a national charity working for a better life for people affected by mental illness – through campaigning, education and research. SANE conducts innovative programs and campaigns to improve the lives of people living with mental illness, their family and friends. It also operates a busy Helpline and website, which have thousands of contacts each year from around Australia. Headed by Jack Heath, SANE is a leading independent NGO campaigning for the one in five Australians affected by mental illness every year.

SANE's vision has remained consistent throughout its twenty five year history: to raise public awareness, excite research, and bring more effective professional treatment and compassionate care to everyone affected by mental illness.







headspace - Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation:
headspace is a service young Australians (12-25 yrs). Covering much more than just mental health, headspace offers wide ranging support for those in need.
